Why RoamZivo for Central Asia

Samarkand

Works in Samarkand

One eSIM for Samarkand and every other covered country, 4 in all. It joins the local partner network in each one by itself.

Skip the rental counter

No pocket Wi-Fi or SIM counter to find when you land, and nothing to return before you fly home. The eSIM is installed before you leave.

Share with your laptop

Hotspot is allowed on the plan selected above, so a second device can use the same data in a cafe or a hotel room.

Which countries does the Central Asia eSIM cover?

The Central Asia eSIM works in every country listed here. Your phone joins a local network in each one by itself. Tap a country to see its own plans.

How to get connected

Step by step guide
  1. Check your phone

Your phone must be eSIM compatible and not locked to one carrier.

  2. Install at home

Scan the QR code on WiFi before you fly. Your days do not start yet.

  3. Switch on when you land

Choose the RoamZivo line for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it.

  4. Stay online

Watch your data in My eSIMs and top up the same eSIM if you need more.

Central Asia travel data guide

A Central Asia eSIM from RoamZivo is a prepaid data plan for travel across 4 countries that you install before you fly. Plans run on partner networks in 4 countries, with 5G where the operator offers it. The eSIM is data only, so your own SIM stays in for calls and texts.

There are 15 plans to choose from across 4 countries. Data sizes run from 1 GB to 20 GB, validity from 1 to 30 days, and prices start at $3.99. Unlimited plans are listed too, each with its own fair use line. Hotspot sharing is supported on every plan. Top ups are available on the fixed data plans and go onto the same eSIM.

Your days start the first time the eSIM connects in the countries covered, not when you buy, so you can install it at home days early. For a week of maps, messaging and social apps, most travellers are fine with 3 to 5 GB. Video calls or streaming need more, or an unlimited plan. Travel data across the countries covered from RoamZivo arrives as a QR code by email, with a copy kept in your account.

Central Asia FAQ

Does the eSIM work in every country covered?

It works in each of the countries listed, 4 in all. In each one it connects wherever the partner networks have signal, which are the same networks local customers use. The eSIM is data only.

When do my days start?

On the first connection in the countries covered, not at purchase. The plan selected above (5 GB) runs for 30 days from that moment. You can install the eSIM at home and the clock stays still until you connect.

Do I get a local phone number?

No. The eSIM is data only. Your own SIM stays in for calls and texts, and WhatsApp keeps working over the eSIM data.

Can I share data with my laptop?

Yes. Hotspot sharing is supported on the plan selected above, so your laptop or tablet can use the eSIM data through your phone.

Is Turkmenistan included in the Central Asia plan?

No. The Central Asia plan covers Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan only. If your route includes Turkmenistan or any other country, the plan will not carry data there and you need another solution for that leg.

How much data do I need for a month in Central Asia?

For a month in Central Asia, 10 GB suits most travellers who use maps, messaging and booking apps daily. Take 20 GB if you share a hotspot. All plans support top up, so you can also start smaller and add data.

Is a regional plan better than buying each country separately?

It is better when you visit two or more of the four countries, because you install once and keep one plan. For a single country, that country's own page has more sizes, including short plans.

When does the Central Asia plan start?

The plan starts when the eSIM first connects to a network in one of the four covered countries. Installing it at home does not start it. The days then run continuously across all borders.

Do I need to change settings at each border?

No settings change is needed. Keep the Central Asia eSIM selected for mobile data with data roaming on for that line. If the phone is slow to connect in the new country, toggle airplane mode once.

Can I top up the Central Asia eSIM during the trip?

Yes, every Central Asia plan supports top up. You add data to the eSIM already on your phone. Do it while you still have a connection or on WiFi, since you need to be online to buy.

Can I hotspot from the Central Asia eSIM?

Yes, hotspot is allowed on all Central Asia plans. On unlimited plans, shared use counts toward the 1 GB or 3 GB of full speed data for the day, after which the speed is up to 1 Mbps.

How do I top up if I run low?

Open My eSIMs, pick this eSIM and choose a top up. It goes onto the same eSIM, so there is no new QR code to scan.
